Bike Touring Journals by Neil Anderson and Sharon Anderson

Bicycle touring journals

September 24 Saturday Bicycle touring from Kingston Ontario to Kingston Ontario

I bought a new tire at Frontenac cycle: a knobby Specialized Tri-Cross 1 3/8 inch. They also had a knobby Tioga Bloodhound 1 3/8 inch, but it looked skinnier than the Tri-Cross.

I'm going to try it out to see how much more difficult it is to pedal for road resistance and if it that is worth it for control in the gravel. I want it for the front. My bike has been washing out when I get run off the road and have to hit the gravel.

We went to Queen's University bookstore to look around. Not that we need any extra weight than what we're already carrying on our poor overloaded touring bicycles.

Claren made Teriyaki chicken. Yum! These guys sure know how feed touring cyclists!
