Easy Fried Rice

Makes 4 normal servings or 2 cyclists' portions

1 Tbsp vegetable oil

1 cup white rice, uncooked

1/2 tsp ginger

1 tsp garlic powder

2 cups liquid (chicken broth, beef broth or water)

2 Tbsp soy sauce

1 egg

salt and pepper to taste

How to make

1. Heat oil in large frying pan or wok. Turn heat to medium high

2. Add rice. Heat until brown, about 5 minutes. Stir constantly

3. Add rest of ingredients except egg

4. Turn heat to medium low. Cover pan and steam for 15 minutes

5. Scramble egg in another pan

6. Add scrambled egg to rice mixture

7. Add salt and pepper to taste
