Parsley Dumplings

Makes 8 small dumplings

3 Tbsp margarine

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup milk

2 cups broth

3 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley or any herb for flavour

How to make

1. Put flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

2. Cut margarine into flour mixture using 2 knives until it looks like fine crumbs.

3. Stir milk into crumb mixture until moistened.

4. Fill a pot with broth and parsley. Bring to a boil.

5. Drop spoonfuls of dough into pot of broth. Bring to a boil.

6. Turn heat to medium. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.

7. Uncover and cook for 10 more minutes.

Options

¶ Place dumplings on top of stew or vegetables and cook for same amount of time.
