The Pizza...
Makes 8 slices (or
12 if you're really hungry)
The dough
1 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp yeast
1 tsp salt
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup flour
Basic Topping
3 Tbsp tomato sauce
1/2 onion, chopped
5 mushrooms, chopped
1/2 green pepper,
chopped
1 1/2 cups cheese,
grated
How to make
1. Combine warm water,
sugar and yeast in a bowl
2. Cover bowl with
a cloth. Let stand until yeast bubbles up, about 10 minutes
3. Stir in salt, oil
and 1 1/2 cups of flour. Beat well
4. Slowly add in rest
of flour until you have a stiff dough. Knead dough for 8 to 10
minutes
5. Roll out dough
into a rectangle and place on a greased cookie sheet
6. Spread tomato sauce
over dough but leave 1/2 inch around the edges for a crust
7. Put on rest of
toppings and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in 425º F oven for
20 minutes
