Inspired by: A Young Lady Bicyclist

A group of sixteen
high school students left
the city of Kelowna,
a few days ago.
Young ladies and men,
ever so keen.
Today: Saturday October 25th,
seventy kilometres of
creation, left behind.
Along the Kettle Valley Railway
Line.
A group of teenagers;
adoring the tranquility of Mother
Nature's divine flowing love.
The last few kilometers?
Exquisite! Yes! Perfectly awesome;
we've been pedalling in a dream.
The railway bed skirted in
golden autumn splendor,
along the River Tulameen.
Coalmont! Ah!
Rest at last.
Exhausted cyclists, pedal to
Granite Creek Campground.
Yes! Sixteen in all.
Tired and weary, we prepare
for the night.
Sitting around a magnificent
campfire, rewarding peace is
found.
Memories,
last a lifetime.
Our friendship has been strengthened.
Our love for each other has increased.
Over the past seventy kilometres,
that we've pedalled along
the Kettle Valley Railway Line.
Tired? Yes! To say the least.
Sixteen tired cyclists dream.
Listening to
Granite Creek sing.
A unique soothing lullaby song.
Each weary cyclist gives thanks
to our Creator.
We dearly love you.
Sixteen, camped cycling students.
With vehicles and teachers,
that carry our provisions.
My! What an inspiring team.
