High above the Tulameen
River.
On a rock bluff slope.
A magnificent bald eagle is
gliding to and fro.
Searching, for maybe a marmot.
The eagle has hope.
Until a screaming
red-tailed hawk appears.
The hawk's screaming call
reverberates through the
tranquility found in the peace
of Nature.
The acrobatic feathered show
comes to an end.
The spectacular bald eagle
soars high and disappears
high above the bluff.
Nature's red-tailed hawk
circles above the treetops,
then glides into the distance
in its trailing screaming call.
Serenaded in unique
wilderness love.
