At the Foot of the Cross

We are all on level ground
at the foot of the cross.
While hanging with outstretched arms
upon that rugged cross, Jesus said:
Forgive them Father.
Luke 23: 34
"Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them,
for they do not know what they are doing.'
and they divided up his clothes by casting lots."
At the foot of the cross
each true Christian has been covered with
the blood of Jesus.
Christians have been cleansed with
the blood of Jesus.
Christians have been cleansed of their sins.
Yes! every sin that we will ever commit.
Hebrews 9: 14 -15
"How much more, then, will the blood
of Christ who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself unblemished to God,
cleanse our consciences from the acts that
lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a
new covenant, that those who are called may receive
the promised eternal inheritance - now that he
has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins
committed under the first covenant."
At the foot of the cross
Christians are on level ground, forgiven.
Glory be to Jesus. Hallelujah!
