Bread is Broken

Holy Spirit Inspired

1 Corinthians 11:23-26
"For I received from the Lord
what I also passed on to you.
The Lord Jesus, on the night
he was betrayed, took bread,
and when he had given thanks,
he broke it and said, 'This is my
body, which is for you; do this in
remembrance of me.'
In the same way, after supper
he took the cup, saying, 'This
cup is the new covenant in my
blood; do this whenever you
drink it, in remembrance of me.'
For whenever you eat this bread
and drink this cup, you proclaim
the Lord's death until he comes."
At our Lord Jesus Christ's table,
bread is broken.
And then:
His holy word is spoken.
This is my body, which is
for you.
Thank you Lord Jesus.
My beloved brothers and sisters
in Christ.
When we partake,
of the broken bread, we are
feeding our innermost being,
with the Spirit of truth.
Jesus Christ, our loving Lord
and Savior.
After supper he took the cup,
saying, This cup is the new covenant
in my blood; do this,
whenever you drink it in
remembrance of me.
My beloved brothers and sisters
in Christ.
The blood of Jesus Christ,
washes us clean, Yes!
as a snow white dove.
And all of our sins are:
Washed away.
In Jesus Christ we are a new
creation, the old has gone.
The new has come!
We are a new people, my friend.
A new creation. Spiritually alive!
And walking in the resurrected
power of our King, Jesus Christ's
glorious divine love.
Hallelujah!
Praise God, all glory be to Jesus.
Amen, and Amen.
