Buck Mule Deer Hike

Holy Spirit Inspired

While hiking along,
to Dad's place.
The forest floor is carpeted
with summer foliage and
wildflowers.
My heart is praising God;
with a unique spiritual song.
The royal eloquent beauty,
inspires a vibrant smile
upon my Christian face.
From beneath a canopy
of evergreen trees, a majestic
mule deer buck, proudly sporting
a rich velvety dressed set of
antlers appears.
Stopping, at creation's beauty
I stare.
Then, into my field of view,
what should appear?
Mr. Buck's fiancée.
Each dressed in a dazzling
array, of new buckskin.
My! what a splendid pair.
The meandering Tulameen River
is five hundred metres below.
Singing an endless rolling rock song.
As our Creator's unending love,
continues to sweetly flow.
The Mulies catch the dog's
and my scent.
Then into the thicket they lope.
With the wildlife, and the
sounds of Mother Nature,
I praise and thank God for;
the time that has been;
so blessedly spent.
The return hike to
Dad's place,
has truly been superb.
To be, this rewarding hike
was meant.
My spirit has been divinely
freshened.
By our Creator's grace.
