Caribou Tundra Dance

Across the virgin tundra,
A band of caribou are strolling,
Frolicking in the autumn splendor,
Breathing pure, high country,
Fresh air,
Listening to the wind rolling,
Over hill and dale.
The leader of the pack,
A massive superior bull,
Is tickling his flanks,
With a magnificent rack,
Gazing across the tundra,
Absorbing the pristine fall
tapestry,
This caribou herd,
Nibbles on sprigs of grass
Wiling the day away.
As the day draws to a close,
Exhilarating beauty unfolds,
In the land of the setting,
Sun,
Unique sounds come alive,
In the twilight,
As northern lights dance,
Across the heavens,
The caribou grow frisky,
And begin to prance,
Across the virgin tundra,
Performing the caribou,
Tundra dance,
Into the rising of the sun,
Caribou delight.
