Follow Christ

To follow Christ we must let go of,
all that we hold dear.
And as we deny ourselves
our gains become more clear.
Follow our Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ,
to our home in heaven above.
John 14: 1-4
"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God, trust also in me.
In my Father's house are many rooms;
if it were not so, I would of told you.
I am going there to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with
me, that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place
where I am going."
John 14: 6
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and
the truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.'"
By living for ourselves we die;
By dying to ourselves we live.
Our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
died unto himself, in the flesh.
His Father in heaven above,
raised His Son, His begotten Son, in glory.
God is love. Hallelujah!
By dying unto ourselves, in the flesh,
as Jesus died, our creator has everything
to give, eternal life!
John 3: 15
"That everyone who believes in Him
may have eternal life. "
Isaiah 40: 31
"But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
Follow Christ in your Christian walk.
Give up your fleshly desires!
Focus on Jesus Christ, our eternal
guiding light.
Study the scriptures on a daily basis.
Through incessant prayer, draw up next
to our creator and listen to our Savior talk.
Matthew 6: 8-13
"Do not be like them, for your Father knows
what you need before you ask him.
This then, is how you should pray:
'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.'"
Let go of your earthly ways!
Open your heart, and, let the Spirit
of Christ in.
Develop a thirst, for our Savior,
Jesus Christ.
Let go of your past! Focus on Jesus,
and give God almighty praise.
Philippians 3: 7-11
"But whatever was to my profit
I now consider loss for the sake of
Christ.
What is more, I consider everything
a loss compared to the surpassing
greatness of knowing Christ Jesus
my Lord, for whose sake I have lost
all things.
I consider them rubbish, that I may
gain Christ.
And be found in him, not having
a righteousness of my own that
comes from the law, but that which
is through faith in Christ - the
righteousness that comes from God
and is by faith."
I want to know Christ and the power
of his resurrection and the fellowship of
sharing in his sufferings, becoming
like him in his death,
And so, somehow, to attain to the
resurrection from the dead.
Follow Christ, and live!
Glory be to Jesus. Praise God.
