Following the Spirit

When Jesus was here on earth,
teaching his Father's righteous
and holy ways.
Jesus was, following the Spirit
that his heavenly Father gave.
Following the Spirit;
Jesus was led to the cross.
The cross of Calvary.
Led by the Spirit;
Jesus gave his life. Yes!
For me and you.
Jesus died in the flesh.
And was raised, in full glory.
To his Father's right hand.
Here Jesus is: Serving today.
Because, his love is righteous
divine and true.
God-fearing Christians, today,
are following this very same Spirit.
Pick up your cross, yes! daily.
Die in the flesh. As Jesus.
Our beloved Savior.
Follow the Spirit, through the cross.
As Jesus.
Following the Spirit through the cross,
you'll find life. Yes! Life eternal.
Following the Spirit, you will find
yourself truly living,
yes! in total freedom. A godly life,
indeed.
As Christ Jesus.
Following the Spirit through the cross.
Because, Jesus is: The only way!
