After we eat
at a placer miner's cabin,
high upon a wilderness ridge.
Into the Granite Creek canyon
floor,
I descend
With Jan, my perfectly awesome
hiking friend.
The trail is drastically steep.
These professional walkahaulics
watch where they place their feet.
On, the Granite Creek canyon floor;
absolute peace is found!
As the meandering water flows,
through the pristine high walled
corridor.
In the glory of Mother Nature,
Jan and I are bound.
The Granite Creek canyon floor
is rugged, serene, and most unique.
It's the splendor of Mother Nature,
that Jan and I are blessed with
as we continually seek.
Overjoyed, Jan and I couldn't ask
for more.
Here, on the narrow canyon floor
Jan and I look upward,
at the solid rock walls.
We are in awe.
Yes! Truly amazed, at the plants
that are clinging to life,
in the crevices.
And taking in all of Mother Nature's
reverberating calls.
The Granite Creek canyon floor
has painted a majestic, royal
picture,
in each newly freshened outdoor
mind
Of
harmony in Nature.
More solitude, these wilderness
walkahaulics could never find.
The Granite Creek canyon floor.
Dressed in Mother Nature's
pristine divine love.
This day of hiking has truly been;
heart warming.
A rich divine blessing.
Jan and I couldn't of asked for more.
