Relaxed and sitting on
the shore of
Lac La Slough.
Red-winged blackbirds,
singing a distinguished varied
song.
Robins are singing a wilderness
masterpiece.
Chickadees keep repeating;
tea is ready! tea is ready!
All feathered characters
singing in sink.
Yes! harmony in Nature.
A swallow-like bird, swoops
and soars back and forth
across the pond.
At once! a moth is picked out
of mid air.
With edible treasure in beak,
into a treetop, this air born
hunter soars.
A light breeze, whispering
through the backdrop of
evergreen treetops.
Birdsongs eloquently drifting
through the reeds, from
where they are sung.
Harmony in Nature.
A young garter snake
peers out from a weather-beaten
brush pile.
Just to say, "Hi!"
Inspiring the observer to smile.
From trunk to trunk
through a canopy of trees
along the far shore of Lac
La Slough,
a pileated woodpecker is
displaying his acrobatics.
In wilderness love.
Various wildflowers creating a
a carpet of exquisite
eloquence beneath the
flourishing trees.
Pink pussy toes, white
pussy toes, vetch, penstemon,
heart leaved arnica, red columbine,
yarrow, Philadelphia fleabane,
wild roses, and strawberry plants
in full bloom.
A choir of various birdsongs
riding on the air currents.
Wildflower scents, carrying
Nature's freshness.
Birdsongs, wildflower beauty,
mingled with a gentle whispering
breeze.
Harmony in Nature.
This relaxing setting being
graced in the divinity of
Nature.
Pristine wilderness, absorbed
through the senses of the beholder.
