Hillbilly Thrills

When I get these chills
I load up my pack and head
into the hills.
Looking for wildlife of every kind.
Admiring the landscape, carpeted with
glorious wildflowers.
And the different birds that soar
through the air.
Hillbilly thrills are a true find.
With the prevailing winds, this hillbilly is led.
Hillbilly thrills.
Include walking in April showers.
Focusing on the new lush green vegetation
which is smiling back at me.
Birds which return in early spring.
Are colourful and bright.
Unshouldering my pack, I sit beneath a tree
listening to the different trills
as these feathered creatures sing.
Hillbilly thrills are unique, a true delight.
Mother nature has so much to give.
Hiking through the different seasons.
Each season sporting its best.
In spring, birds fill the air.
Wildflowers pop up from the ground.
Wildlife romps through the rolling hills.
Mother nature is alive, finished with her winter's rest.
Watching the different seasons unfold.
Admiring the exhilarating beauty, and every sound.
Hillbilly thrills.
