Living By Faith 2

Hebrews 11: 1
"Now faith is being sure of
what we hope for and certain
of what we do not see."

Hebrews 11: 5-6
"By faith Enoch was taken
from this life, so that he did
not experience death; he could
not be found, because God had
taken him away. For before
he was taken, he was
commended as one who pleased
God.
And without faith it is
impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him
must believe that he exists and
that he rewards those who
earnestly seek him."

Living by faith is a
lifestyle.
True, humble, meek, God-fearing
Christians live as Jesus lived.
Continually having faith in
the Father.
By faith, Jesus lived a
perfect life, while He was on
earth,
teaching His Father's ways.
Through faith in the Father,
Jesus was led to the cross at
Calvary, where He let go of His
life in the flesh,
to absorb your every sin.
By faith, Jesus was raised
in glory.
The life that Jesus lived
while here on earth, was not
an easy life.
In faith Jesus had confidence
in His Father.
By faith Jesus endured, and
persevered
through to the end of His trials.
Receiving the "crown of life."
James 1: 2-8
"Consider it pure joy, my
brothers, whenever you face trials
of many kinds,
Because you know that
the testing of your faith
develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish
its work so that you may be
mature and complete, not
lacking anything.
If any of you lacks wisdom,
he should ask God, who gives
generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be
given to him.
"But when he asks, he must
believe and not doubt, because
he who doubts is like a wave
of the sea, blown and tossed
by the wind.
The man should not think
he will receive anything
from the Lord; he is a
double-minded man,
unstable in all that he does."
James 1: 12-18
"Blessed is the man who
perseveres under trial,
because when he has stood
the test, he will receive
the crown of life that
God has promised to those
who love him.
When tempted no one
should say, 'God is tempting
me.' For God cannot be tempted
by evil, nor does he tempt
anyone;
but each one is tempted when,
by his own evil desire, he is
dragged away and enticed.
Then after desire has conceived,
it gives birth to sin; and sin,
when it is fully grown, gives birth
to death.
Don't be deceived, my dear
brothers.
Every good and perfect
gift is from above, coming down
from the Father of the heavenly
lights, who does not change like
shifting shadows.
He chose to give us birth
through the word of truth,
that we might be a kind of
first fruits of all he created."
Let's pray:
Dear Father God:
We most humbly thank you,
for your Son Jesus Christ,
the author and perfecter of
our faith.
Father we pray for your
Holy Spirit to guide us
in a holy and righteous way,
so that we can be more like Jesus.
We want to live in total faith,
as Jesus did.
Father, we most humbly pray:
for your peace, which transcends
all understanding, to guard
our hearts and minds in
Jesus Christ.
Father by faith, Jesus overcame
all powers of the devil.
Jesus overcame the power of death.
For this Father, we are forever
grateful.
Father, faith has given us hope.
Living hope, in the resurrection of
Jesus Christ.
Living a faithful life, Jesus
overcame the ways of this wicked world,
setting us free.
Hallelujah!
Father, in the mighty name
of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ, we pray for our lifestyle in faith to grow.
In the name of Jesus.
Amen.
My brothers and sisters
in Christ.
Jesus's lifestyle was lived
in faith.
After teaching His Father's ways
faithfully and fulfilling His
Father's every command,
Jesus was raised in glory.
The Christian life,
isn't easy, as we see from studying
scripture.
Christians are faced with
daily trials and challenges,
but by living in a lifestyle
of faith, we are able to endure.
We are able to persevere
through our daily trials.
Just as Jesus did.

Mark 11: 20-25 (The Withered Fig Tree)
"In the morning, as they
went along, they saw the fig tree
withered from the roots.
Peter remembered and said
to Jesus, 'Rabbi, look!
The fig tree you have cursed
has withered!'
'Have faith in God' Jesus answered.
'I tell you the truth, if anyone
says to this mountain, 'Go, throw
yourself into the sea,' and does
not doubt in his heart but
believes that what he says will
happen, it will be done for him.
Therefore I tell you,
whatever you ask for in prayer,
believe that you have received it,
and it will be yours.
And when you stand praying,
if you hold anything against
anyone, forgive him, so that
your Father in heaven may forgive
you your sins."

Lord have mercy on us.
Give us strength dear Father,
in the name of Jesus.

Glory be to Jesus. Praise God.
Hallelujah! Amen.
