High up, on a treed slope,
a female red-tailed hawk;
perched on a limb of a sun
bleached weather-beaten tree trunk
awaits.
In soars her mate!
Immature red-tailed hawks
of eloquent feathered attire.
Drawn together in the intricacy
of Mother Nature's pristine love.
With sunlight shining from
outstretched marbled wings.
Pinions set, catching the prevailing
air currents.
The providing mate soars out over
the vast expanse of creation.
The female hawk, with talons locked
on the limb from which she
called her mate.
Refreshed in the joy of Nature.
Truly enjoying the peace, found in
this precious tranquil moment.
The voice of this mottled
feathered creature sings in her
own way.
Glorifying Mother Nature's natural
gift.
Red-tailed hawks in natural love!
