Mountain Country Garden

I'm on my summer holiday,
I love helping in the garden,
Mom and I grow,
Vegetables and herbs,
And a few flowers,
There's times I have to weed the garden,
But that's okay,
While working I love to talk to the birds,
In our garden we have to watch for prowlers,
The deer stop by in the night,
And chipmunks in the day,
I'm happy, you're right!
I love our garden, I work in it for hours.
In our mountain country garden,
Mom and I,
Grow veggies by the score,
Plus flowers and herbs,
Now, who could ask for more?
Our garden gets a lot of water, there's a river,
Nearby,
Plus numerous birds.
I love our mountain country garden,
The different shades of green,
And the colourful birds,
Bring joy and happiness to my heart,
A more majestic setting I've never seen.
Our mountain country garden,
Is a lot of work,
But we love mountain country vegetables,
Mom and I quite often, give each other a perk,
At day's end,
We race across our field to the river,
And refresh each other,
Mom is my gardening friend,
We congratulate each other,
At the end of summer,
Our mountain country garden does deliver.
