My Spirit Thirsts

My spirit does thirst,
for God. The living God.
For in His righteous ways,
my spirit is first.
To my Creator, I humble myself
and give praise.
My spirit thirsts and seeks,
after righteousness.
I listen as God speaks.
Revealing His intimate love.
God's righteousness is: divine.
Flowing from His throne of grace
in heaven above.
My spirit thirsts,
because it wants more.
My obedient spirit listens,
to God speak.
The thirst of my spirit is:
relieved.
In the loving arms of Jesus,
my spirit has been guided to,
the far shore.
because my spirit believed.
Where my Savior's love
and God's holy angels are;
true and most unique.
For the thirsting spirit,
God is never very far.
Matthew 5: 6
"Blessed are they which
do hunger and thirst after
righteousness:
for they shall be filled."
