Nature's greatest imitator.
The Steller's jay.

While strolling through creation;
a screaming hawk call is heard.
In the treetops, just off of the trail.

Dianne, Bob and I were searching
for a massive hawk.
Suddenly! from out of a spruce
thicket, this Steller's jay appears.
Feathered in fine attire. And
sporting his best.
With head held high.

We are focused on Steller, and
are at awe, as we hear this crafty
bird snicker, "Ha, ha, fooled you!"

These wilderness wanderers are
truly amazed.
At Steller's jay's imitating perfection.

Stella, you've made our day.
You've sharpened our awareness
in Nature's supernatural connection.

A Steller's jay is able to mimic.
Yes! in any way.
