Sherlet the Chicken

Sherlet the chicken,
Is a real character,
Sherlet the chicken,
Has made herself a name,
Sherlet loves terrorizing,
Her family friends,
Sherlet the chicken,
Thinks this a game.
Sherlet the chicken,
Has been on our farm,
For years,
Sherlet is a scrapper,
Sherlet the chicken is feisty,
Every farm animal fears,
Sherlet loves,
Pecking at our horse's hocks,
Which makes our horses run,
Sherlet the chicken,
Gets very mad,
Our running horses spoil her fun.
Sherlet the chicken,
Is bold,
Sherlet is a leader,
Sherlet is also a scrapper,
Every animal which is smaller,
Sherlet has rolled.
Sherlet the chicken,
Even chases our big old rooster,
Whose name is Snapper.
Sherlet the chicken,
Is a cannibal,
Sherlet doesn't listen,
Every once in awhile,
At feeding time,
One of Sherlet's kind,
Is missen,
Sherlet the chicken,
Is a real character,
Her changing attitude makes us smile.
Sherlet the chicken,
Rules the roost,
At bedtime,
Sherlet's attitude changes,
From anger,
To love,
Sherlet always settles down,
When perched above,
Her feathered friends,
Sherlet the chicken,
Is a clown,
Our love for Sherlet,
Never ends.
Early every morning,
The farmyard comes alive,
Sherlet begins chasing,
Our cattle and horses,
Without warning,
Sherlet the chicken,
Even chases our car,
I believe she'd like to drive.
Life on our farm,
Wouldn't be the same,
Without Sherlet the chicken,
Sherlet has a ball,
She believes life is a game,
We love Sherlet the chicken,
Sherlet is our pet,
Are we happy?
You bet.
Our love,
For Sherlet the chicken,
Will never end,
Sherlet may be feisty,
And rules the roost,
But she's our friend.
