Shooting Star

Upon arriving,
in the peaceful little
village of
Coalmont, the other night.
Emerging from our car,
Bob and I looked heavenward.
Truly amazed.
Yes! overwhelmed. No denying.
In the glory of the
star-spangled night sky.
Bob and I are drawn closer
together, in the power of our
Creator's love.
My! How the milky way
does smile.
The Big Dipper is: Directly
over our heads.
The heavens are serenely
dressed in glorious splendor.
Bob and I are divinely blessed.
Making our evening, truly,
worthwhile.
Then! All of a sudden,
as if shot from a cannon;
across the star-studded canopy
a star does streak.
Driven by: A supernatural force.
Leaving a trail of star dust.
Perfectly awesome. Yes!
Most unique.
Yes! While,
witnessing the glory of
our Creator's unfailing power;
Bob and I are:
Drawn closer together in
each other's trust.
We each smile.
Bathed, in the Milky Way.
Beneath the host of stars.
Drawn closer together in
the majesty of love.
Enriching our evening.
And making this joyous
blessed time together
truly worthwhile.
A shooting star
does catch the spectator's eye
As it steaks across the heavens,
on a trail of glory.
Dressed in serene splendor.
Our evening has been blessed.
This, Bob and I do not deny.
