Located in the corridor of
the Granite Creek valley bottom
the abandon Swan Claim rests.

Descending for one and a half
kilometres, through pristine
wilderness,
from the Blakeburn Road,
the Swan Claim is found; at
peace.

On the face of a sheer rock bluff.
One quarter of a kilometre from
the Swan Claim tunnel;
the viewer beholds the sheer ecstasy
found in the vastness of creation,
Granite Creek rushing through
the valley bottom.

The walls of the canyon;
sporting the freshness of spring.
Enhanced with penstemon outcroppings.
The mauve of the penstemons,
mingled with the greenery of spring.

Granite Creek at high water,
thundering through this pristine
wilderness corridor, blessing the
vacated Swan Claim in picturesque
beauty.
And in the boisterous voice of Nature.
