That Old Rugged Cross

On humble knees
at the foot of that old rugged cross.
Praise you dear precious Jesus
for your life, that you humbly
did give.
Jesus, the blood that you shed
has touched me.
While upon that old rugged cross
Jesus went through a world of pain.
Through His precious blood
Jesus bought back my every sin.
Jesus is my Savior, in Him I live.
With the blood that fell upon
my shoulders while on my knees
at the foot of that old rugged cross
I have been saved and set free.
That old rugged cross
is ever so precious to me.
The cross is my salvation.
While on my humble knees
at the foot of that old rugged cross
I raise my arms, and open my holy
hands.
Giving thanks to Jesus Christ
my ever loving Savior
for setting me free.
Through the life that He gave
Jesus has given me eternal life.
By following Jesus's commands
I've been set free of earthly ways.
Jesus died upon that old rugged
cross to save.
What took place
upon that old rugged cross
has given me life, fresh,
and anew.
By believing in, and trusting
my Savior, I've seen God's
smiling Holy face.
Praise God.
Glory to God in the highest.
Hallelujah!
