The Cross

Just the other day
a young lad's prayer
was answered.
God's love which is
most unique
and simply divine
guided the cross to Princeton.
Thank you for blessing us Father
we most humbly pray.
God you truly do care.
Christians of Princeton know
of whom we speak.
The different churches in
Princeton took turns
carrying the cross
which has been shared
around the world.
Down Bridge Street
the rally was led.
The cross was raised
every few meters.
And a prayer was said.
God's love being unfurled.
Our Lord guided His
Christians to Rotary Park
where the cross was anchored
standing tall.
Through the town of Princeton
God has been praised.
Spiritual songs were sung.
God's children took turns
hugging the cross.
At the foot of the cross
we are all on level ground.
Pastors from the different churches
gathered around the cross.
Prayers unfolded before the cross
where our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ was hung.
The cross means everything
to me.
In the park, I stepped forward
and hugged the cross.
An awesome exhilarating
spiritual rush, was felt.
My whole body tingled
as the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ
caressed my soul.
Jesus Christ died on the cross
so that I may live.
Glory to God in the highest.
My humble Christian heart
does sing.
God is love, everything
He does give.
Hallelujah!
Praise God.
Amen
