The Fullness of Faith

Inspired by: Joyce Meyer

"The fullness of faith"
is found in the cross of Calvary.
Christ the Wisdom and Power of God
1 Corinthians 1:18-31 NIV
"For the message of the cross is foolishness
to those who are perishing, but to us who are
being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written:
'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will
frustrate.'
Where is the wise man?
Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher
of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
For since in the wisdom of God the world through
its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased
through the foolishness of what was preached to save
those who believe.
Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for
wisdom,
but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling
block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but to those whom God has called, both Jews
and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom
of God.
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's
wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than
man's strength.
Brothers think of what you were when you were
called. Not many of you were wise by human standards;
not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
But God chose the foolish things of the world
to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world
to shame the strong.
He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised
things -- and the things that are not -- to nullify the things
that are,
so that no one may boast before him.
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,
who has become for us wisdom from God -- that is, our
righteousness, holiness and redemption.
Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in
the Lord."
In the sin-free blood that Jesus Christ shed upon the
cross of Calvary "the fullness of faith" was released.
Matthew 3:1-17 NIV
"In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in
the Desert of Judea
and saying, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is
near.'
This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:
"A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare
the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.'
John's clothes were made of camel's hair, and he had a
leather belt around his waist.
His food was locusts and wild honey.
People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea
and the whole region of the Jordan.
Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him
in the Jordan River.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees
coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them:
"You brood of Vipers! Who warned you to flee from the
coming wrath?
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have
Abraham as our father. I tell you that out of these
stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
The axe is already at the root of the trees, and every
tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down
and thrown into the fire.
I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me
will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals
I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit
and with fire.
His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his
threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and
burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized
by John.
But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be
baptized by you, and do you come to me?"
Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do
this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the
water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw
the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.
And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love;
with him I am well pleased."
By fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter
of our faith; we know that we are like Jesus in every way.
With the Spirit of Jesus Christ dwelling in the throne
rooms of our Christian hearts, we, as Father God's
adopted children, are led in "the Fullness of Faith.
Oh Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
