The journey has just begun.
With Jesus Christ; God's
one and only begotten Son.
We are only here on earth
for a short while.
By living for Jesus and
following His sovereign ways;
Jesus is with us. Yes!
Mile after mile.
Learn how to enjoy the journey.
Do not quench the Spirit.
Listen for the Spirit's gentle whisper.
Follow the Holy Spirit's guidance and
divine direction.
Leading you into eternity.
Psalm 103:8-19
"The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He will not constantly accuse us,
nor remain angry forever.
He does not punish us for all our sins;
he does not deal harshly with us,
as we deserve.
For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens
above the earth.
He has removed our sins as far from us as the
east is from the west.
The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
For he knows how weak we are;
he remembers we are only dust.
Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers,
we bloom and die.
The wind blows, and we are gone - as though
we had never been here.
But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children's children
of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commands!
The Lord has made the heavens his throne;
from there he rules over everything."
Walking in the full joy of the Lord;
with your cross upon your shoulders.
Alive in the Spirit of Jesus Christ;
we are drawn closer each day to our heavenly home.
We are citizens of heaven.
Our citizenship is fully guaranteed.
Philippians 3:12-21
Pressing toward the goal
"I didn't mean to say that I have already achieved
these things or that I have already reached perfection.
But I press on to possess that perfection for which
Christ Jesus first possessed me.
No, dear brothers and sisters,
I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing:
Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive
the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus,
is calling us.
Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things.
If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain
to you.
But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.
Dear brothers and sisters,
pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who
follow our example.
For I have told you often before,
and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are
many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross
of Christ.
They are headed for destruction.
Their God is their appetite, they brag about shameful things,
and they think only about this life here on earth.
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.
And we are eagerly awaiting for him to return as our Savior.
He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into
glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which
he will bring everything under his control."
The journey is an extraordinary extravagant experience.
The true Christian;
walks the walk of faith, focused on the prize.
Dressed in the full armor of God. And walking in the fruits of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-25
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:
against such things there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the
affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
The journey is mapped. Yes! Well marked.
For Christ Jesus has gone through the heavens before us
preparing the way.
