Upon That Rugged Cross

A long time ago,
Adam and Eve did sin,
Their eternal lives were thrown away,
God came to earth,
And was born in the flesh,
Of a virgin,
God used the name Jesus Christ,
Which means savior,
Jesus taught us how to live,
So that eternal life we may win,
Thank you our eternal heavenly Father,
We humbly pray.
Jesus loves us so much that he,
Gave up his life in the flesh,
To conquer sin,
Praise you Jesus for our spiritual birth.
Luke 9:23-24
"And he said to them all, if,
Any man will come after me, let,
Him deny himself, and take up his,
Cross daily, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life,
Shall lose it: but whosoever will,
Lose his life for my sake,
The same shall find it."
Upon that rugged cross,
Jesus did suffer,
Through Jesus we have been forgiven,
Of every sin that we will ever commit.
Mark 10:21
"Then Jesus beholding him,
Loved him, and said unto him,
One thing thou lackest: go thy,
Way, sell whatsoever thou hast,
And give to the poor, and thou,
Shalt have treasure in heaven:
And come, take up the cross,
And follow me."
Through the life that Jesus gave,
Upon that rugged cross,
We have been blessed with eternal life,
God's love,
True humble God-fearing Christians,
I pray, that you follow Jesus,
It's your life Jesus did save.
Galatians 6:14
"But God forbid that I should,
Glory, save in the cross of our,
Lord Jesus Christ, by whom,
The world is crucified unto me,
And I unto the world."
Praise you Jesus,
The fleshly life, that you gave up,
Upon that rugged cross,
Has brought glory, to our Father's name.
Psalm 8:1
"O Lord our Lord, how excellent,
Is thy name in all the earth!
Who hast set thy glory,
Above the heavens."
