Wilderness Wildcats

Out here in the hills,
Once in a while,
A wildcat is seen,
Rambling about,
Looking for food and thrills,
These cats are hunted mile after mile,
Our hounds are awesome,
Ever so keen,
Okay laddies tree the beast,
We hear our guide shout,
Upon the hunters' faces there appears a smile,
They're happy to say the least.
Wilderness wildcats,
Are sly,
These cats wander through the hills,
Leading the hunter and hounds,
Along all kinds of trails,
The hunters and hounds receive exercise and thrills,
As they look and listen to nature sounds,
Be alert we hear our guide shout,
Our cat is treed,
The hounds continue to bay,
Out of the tree this massive cougar sails,
We hear our leader shout, the monster is freed!
He's the biggest! without a doubt,
Up to my shoulder comes the gun,
I take aim and pull the trigger,
There our prize does lay.
