April 25 Tuesday Bicycle touring France It is still grey and ominous outside our bicycle touring tent's doors. The rain isn't coming down constantly now, but it still drops precipitation periodically. There are lots of large snails in the forest. We decide for another inside day. The soggy conditions certainly don't look salubrious for cycle touring. We read. Late this afternoon the clouds start to gain some semblance of form. There is still no break in them, however, but at least it is not just one undefinable mass of grey. The good news is that we are sleeping very well here along the river, it is so quiet. And, with the soggy conditions outside, we haven't had any unexpected visitors. Our bicycle touring panniers are out of reserve food stores, so it looks like a road day tomorrow, rain or shine. |
